Burberry Prorsum Spring-Summer Fashion 2012 Collection at London Fashion Week – Latest Burberry Prorsum Spring-Summer Fashion Trends 2012: Considering the fact Burberry is the iconic British brand we couldn’t have expected anything plain for the Spring/ Summer 2012 fashion season.
And we weren’t disappointed. The collection was amazing. The color palette, the silhouettes, the accessories – all was wonderful. There was one thing really surprising though – nearly all items in Burberry Prorsum Spring/ Summer 2012 collection were much warmer than we normally wear in those seasons. But probably it was the English weather that had influenced Christopher Bailey. And Africa maybe, something tribal felt in the range – the wild prints?
The focus of the collection seems to have been on coats. Those came in plenty. We could see classic trenches (Burberry’s signature), cropped jackets with raffia on hoods, and parkas perfect to protect from rains and winds. Multi-colored peaked caps, in the same woven natural fabrics, with pompoms on top, finished the wintery looks.
Burberry Prorsum Spring/ Summer 2012 collection featured high-waisted skirts that softly cascaded to mid-calf, stylish tops with wooden beads on them, and a few dresses which were pretty classic but colors were too bright for formal occasions.
In great contrast to such a warm collection came the shoes, majority of which were actually sandals richly decorated with beads, and other interesting details.
One more fact to mention here, Burberry Prorsum showcased every look from their Spring/ Summer 2012 collection via Twitter even before the show started. This is what Christopher Bailey said on it:
